We have a new home under construction at the corner of Balsam Drive and Cleveland in Stewart Lennox. The home is a small two bedroom designed for very high energy efficiency. The exterior walls are constructed with Polysteel insulating concrete forms (R50+). The roof is structural insulating panels (R42) and the home has very low air infiltration. This design will give the family a cool home in the summer and very low heating costs in the winter.

10/09 -- The siding and facia are on and we are ready to caulk and paint. Many thanks to Certenteed for the siding donation. 9/09 -- The counter tops are on and the sinks and toilet are installed and plumbed. Top Secret donated the counter tops. 8/09 -- The cabinets are installed and waiting for counter tops. Columbia Plywood donated the materials and the local Wood Crafters Guild built them for us. 7/09 -- The tile floor is installed. This took a while, but the tile was donated and it shure looks good thanks to the patience and perseverance of our volunteers. 6/09 -- The wall board is installed, jointed and painted after so many months of bare framing. Many thanks to the hard-working volunteers for a job well done.

Did you know? The less generous the local community is the longer it takes us to build a house.
